mktorrent-GUI is a Windows-based GUI frontend to the console-based (Linux/UNIX native) mktorrent tool. There don’t seem to be any decent standalone torrent file creators on Windows. There is MakeTorrent, but that was last updated in 2004 and doesn’t support more modern features like private flags. My frontend aims to address these shortcomings and expose all of the functionality of mktorrent to the user via an easy-to-use interface.
Of particular interest to hardcore torrenters is the batch mode feature. If a directory is specified as a source, mktorrent-GUI will scan one level deep for subdirectories and automatically create a torrent for each subdirectory. All of the usual features such as comments, piece size and the private flag can be set.

neat app, but i get a crash when trying to make a torrent in batch mode from a folder with 1001 sub folders in it, is there anyway to send you the debug output? thanks
Thanks for the feedback. Can you check the Console Output checkbox, and then copy and paste the output there? Also, is it a hard crash (error message along the lines of "This program has stopped working" or "Unhandled Exception") or is it a popup dialog at the end that reports which folders failed?
console dissapears and program shuts down completely, ill look for something in event viewer i guess?
I'm in the process of preparing a debug build now. I'll let you know when it's done.
The debug build is ready. I think I might have an idea as to why it's crashing in your case, and I've also included some changes that should fix the issue (if my hypothesis is right). Anyway, please download the debug version of 1.22 here:

Just run it like you normally would. When it crashes/finishes there will be a debug.txt file, which you can upload to a file-hosting site like Mediafire.

here is the relevant portion, i guess i could just delete the offending files but where would the debug fun be in that.
Heheh, it's definitely interesting in its own right. I'll take a look into it - the problem may or not be complicated, and I'll let you know when I figure out how to fix it.
Any chance getting a new version? This program is so much faster than the alternatives.
qMakeTorrent is the official successor to mktorrent-GUI.
